Wafer paper
- Lightweight and thin material
- Suitable for simpler designs and decorations
- A good choice for decorating muffins and toppers
- A more economical solution
(0.3mm) wafer paper is more flexible, slightly transparent, and perfect for folding 3D decorations (flowers, butterflies), but it is not intended to be placed directly on cream. (0.6mm) wafer paper is opaque, firm, and holds its shape well, making it ideal for creating standing figurines (toppers), and it can be placed on drier cake surfaces.
Fondant / sugar paste paper
- Thicker and significantly more flexible material
- Keeps its structure very well; when handling it, there is a lower risk of tearing it
- An excellent choice for wrapping cake sides (cake ribbons) and 3D elements
- Distinctly sweet, pleasant taste reminiscent of classic sugar paste
