(0.3mm) wafer paper is more flexible, slightly translucent, and perfect for bending 3D decorations (flowers, butterflies), but it is not intended to be placed directly on cream. (0.6mm) wafer paper is opaque, firm, and holds its shape well, making it ideal for creating standing figurines (toppers), and it can be placed on drier cake surfaces.
Fondant / sugar paste paper
- Thicker and significantly more flexible material
- Holds its structure very well; when handling it, there is a lower risk of tearing
- An excellent choice for wrapping cake sides (cake ribbons) and for 3D elements
- Distinctly sweet, pleasant taste reminiscent of classic sugar paste
